Do you know your neigbhour

I do know who lives in my building, but i do not know them well at all. I say hi and move on when we meet. I do not manage to keep in touch with my friends and family as it is. I really do not want to get close to my neighbours. I like that we can have an ok relationship, and that noone is mad at anyone else in the building.

It is an important part of living in a community. We live in houses, not appartments, but we know everybody in the street to talk to. Ok, that doesn't mean we are friends with everybody but we at least know who they are. There are key things to get to talk to them... 1. children 2. pets 3. gardening 4. help with moving in and quite a few more. When an emergency comes along, the community gets together and helps.

When I lived in Russia in an appartment house of more than 200 flats, I knew many people, both our close neighbours and people living in other entrances. I had many friends among our neighbours. Now I also live in an appartment house, and there are 100 flats over here. There are people who always say hello, and there are some who don't though we may meet rather often. It's sad that our closest neighbour never say hello and never speak to us, though his wife is a very nice woman and always speak a bit when we meet in the lift. So, people are different! :)

Hello I know all my nieghbors,their extended families and most of their friends.We watch out for each other when one leaves and borrow stuff from each other.We help each other also...like extra family R

I llive next door to this lady who has 4 kids her husband and his brother and his wife living with them and we go over and talk to them quite a bit they even sometimes send us food over to try and it turns out good in fact I have bought a van and this computer from her so I would say that she is a nice lady/.

Fortunately, I live on a block where all the neighbors are friends. We all hang out, have 4th of July parties, etc. Yet I heard about a friend of mine that had a neighbor for 6 years, that was just arrested for child molestation, of a neighbor's kid down the street. Bottom line, you think you know somebody, but you still have to be aware of where your kids are, etc.
