Does the atmospheric pressure affect you? How?

Te atmospheric pressure here has changed a lot in the past 24 hours. I can feel it. It needs to rain and was suppose to but has not. My head feels full and I feel like my energy has been zapped. I am starting to feel a bit of a stuffy nose feeling. This always happens to me every spring and fall and sometimes in winter or summer if there is a drastic weather change. Does the change of seasons or barometric pressure bother you? How?

Barometric changes trigger migraines in me. It's real fun during the times of the year were we get a lot of storms because I pretty much have one every day because of it. It also saps my energy and makes me just want to sleep. I found out this is quite common actually, doesn't change how it makes me feel but it's nice to know I'm not the only one. The weather changes are killing my joints something awful this year in particular. It's been colder down here then usual though so that doesn't help. HIgh humidity, something we have any given day, kills my joints and makes it hard to breathe. So you aren't alone in having the problems with it. Depending on where you live it can be really miserable having the changes effect you all the time. I hope you don't have too many problems this year.

emeraldisle, I understand about the breathing problems. Luckily we have not had too many extreme severe cold temps this year. The below freezing temps cause severe breathing problems for me. The humidity is a problem too. I feel as if I am drowning on those days. Zaps my energy too. I too hope you will not have too many weather related pains this year. Thank you for responding!

Sometimes my knees will bother me when a cold front is heading our direction. That's usually 2 or 3 days beforehand. There's also been times I feel achey in general and don't seem to have mucb energy. Fortunately it doesn't happen very often. I'm glad for that. Sure don't feel good when it does.

Isn't it nice to know we aren't the only ones feeling this way. I think we are in tune with the earth, maybe because essentially we are organic material. I used to think my grandma was a witch or something, and grandpa was a magician. Now that I feel it, I know it was just their bodies in tune to what was going on around them, or about to come. Too bad we can't perfect these little aches and pains. I too am glad it doesn't happen too often. Arthritis can be such a pain, no pun intended.

I have heard of this happening, years ago I can remember people saying it was going to rain as they could feel it in their bones, I think people with arthritis get affected. I also know tht some can tell if it is going to thunder as they get headaches.

Yea, It is like with me I can tell that the pressure has changed because it gives me such a headache, sometimes it is when it is suppose to rain but it doesn't. I can also tell when we are going to have a freeze. My knees hurt real bad and 1 elbow. As soon as the freeze is over the pain is almost gone or atleast bearable. I had forgot my grndfather could detect the rain by the nuckles on his hands. Arthritis I am sure. Thanks for responding

I usually notice when the humidity levels change because I get sinus headaches and a stuffy nose. If I constantly run the A/C this helps keep the pressure away! I've heard people say they can tell when it's about to rain, not sure if it's the humidity levels in the air or what!
