Hi....to all you guys in the US, how do you join game shows particularly The Price is Right? My dad, he's 70, has been a fan since that show was being broadcast in the Philippines. He's now in the US and as a treat my sisters thought it would be great if he could be a contestant or at least part of the studio audience. Help anyone? Thanks!

I don't watch the Price is Right, but don't game shows usually give that sort of information at the end of each show? Have you gone to their website and checked their FAQs? That information is probably on there somewhere.

I don't think you can. This was/is the last season because Bob Barker is retiring.

Have your dad watch The Price Is Right. I believe it is taped in Hollywood, California so he will have to drive or fly there. Have him request the tickets to go there BEFORE he goes there. If he just shows up there is no guarantee that he will get tickets. In fact, my friends did that and they didn't get picked at all. They were in the area and didn't have advanced notice so they couldn't request those tickets. They had to wait, and basically they said that it was sad because they wanted to be on the show ALL their lives, but couldn't cos they didn't get selected. Therefore, you need to write to the address to request the tickets then show up on the date and time it says on the tickets. Your father will probably have to fly or drive if he doesn't live in the area already. However, the other poster is partially right. He IS retiring, so you will have to write to the address quickly because May 2007 is his last month on the show. After May they will be having a replacement for him. Here is the website from CBS for you to read: http://www.cbs.com/daytime/price/tickets/ Pablo

Hi, thanks for the response! as much as we want them to join, they won't be in the area around that time as there are lots of things to attend to in their place which is in new jersey. arent they going to get another host for the price is right?

All you have to do is write to the show for tickets. When you go expect to stand outside for hours and hope they pick you to be part of the audience. They send out way more tickets than they have seats, so it's no guarantee that you will even get in. Once you get in (assuming you do) then you hope they call your name. What they look for is exciting enthusiastic people. So do a lot of smiling, laughing and jumping up and down.

I like it and in my country they are priced like all other fast food, quite expensive, actually a single meal may easily cost 1/10 of the average monthly pay, still we have lots of branches. They have chicken steak here in our country and really cheap. Good for budget conscious persons. I also love the hot shots. I almost always order macaroni salad or fries with it. I'd pour gravy on my rice too.
