Out of touch politicians

Politicians today are so out of touch lees than 1% of Americans have ever even seen or encountered one. They expect us to believe they are looking out for us but refuse to even meet with us.I have tried for weeks to find out what it takes to talk to Barack Obama.I am thinking about voting for him for President but I have a few questions I would ask on behalf of Millions of ordinary Americans.I have found it very difficult to even get close to talking to him.Probably even more difficult due to his recent popularity spike.I realize he is a busy man but can you name one politician who will talk to an ordinary person not offering press or a photo op?I certainly cannot and therein lies the problem.I believe an ordinary American should get to speak with their lawmakers without the need for"people" to get with their "people'.I do not have "people but I live in Barack Obama's state.Just what are my rights? If I went to Chicago and spent money to find his whereabouts would I even get close enough for him to hear me hollar for him?I do not believe so.I could bring literally millions of voters to his side by just showing them he could be reached. This could also work for any other candidate but he is the one I would prefer to boost and stand behind.A simple 30 minute conversation would net him about 33,000 votes a minute. Each one enough to make a difference if the race gets tight. How do I even reach him to propose this.Where do I start.I have the same real life questions and concerns and ideas as several million Americans and he will never even hear them because we do not have "people".I say that is unfair and unjust,we still have a voice. As soon as we quit talking we lose any shot we may have ever had.I would like to take this opportunity to call Barack Obama out!!!Talk to me,Barack. My vote is important to me.

I understand your predicament. And I also understand the situation of the politicians. You see, we already live in the media-created world. The messages of the politicians are usually coursed thru the media. Sometimes, the battlegrounds of the politics are controlled by the media. it is for this reason that politicians are getting detached from their constituents. Though I am also wishing for our politicians to have a good fact-to-face relationship with the people, this is sometimes impossible in this age.

I agree with you, I'm sure it is hard to reach the lawmakers that are popular enough to run for President. But let me ask you this..how would you get him millions of votes?
