Do you have topics that you try to avoid in either conversations and/or forums?

I try to avoid topics about religion, because I believe that everybody is entitled to his own belief. With the elders, I try to avoid topics relating to s e x because they are usually not comfortable about it. What about you guys?

I agree with on that, and I would also like to add some of which I avoid to get involved at. Topics such as creationisism, debates, politics, jokes and mostly of topics which I have nothing good to respond at. For me, it is better to stick on what I know and what interests me. Makes me feel more safer and I also preserve my reputation here, it's better to skip at it than bashed by someone who are just there to ruin the flow of a good conversation..

i've moderated forums for many years now,and i've noticed that religion and politics are the big 2. almost guaranteed to start a fight of some kind every single time.

I generally post whatever is on my mind.. I feel that if people don't feel comfortable with my posts, its their right not to read.. I like the open discussion forum here and love the fact that so many people are open minded about most topics.

Yes, people have a right NOT to read if they don't want to. Thanks for your input :)
