The Top 12

United States

Well, I dont know if anyone else did, but I ended up loosing interest in the show once it got to the top 24, but picked it back up after the top 12. I think that it was a little too much for me this year to have so many people signing two days in a row. Also, I think that the talent this year is slightly worse than last so maybe it was just the unintesting contestants in the top 24 that had to get eliminated until I got interested again. Anyone else feel that way?

I've been keeping up with it this season, but I agree that the talent this season is definitely not like in past seasons, but there are several on there who are amazing, but due to that fact it seems the competition isn't as stiff.

I agree with you Toon. At the same time, it always seems to be the people that get eliminated are the ones that get the big record deals. Chris Daughtry for example. I think that as long as people keep watching the show, they'll end up getting more and more people with less talent to extend out the show longer and longer.

I kind of feel the same way. I thought they really rushed us through the auditions and Hollywood week, so when we got the top 24 I didn't even know most of them. In last seasons, by the time Hollywood Week was over, I already had my favorites and my choice to win it all. This year, it really took getting close to the top 12 before I had realy made any decissions. I do agree that the talent is not as great as years past. I mean, there are a few who are top notch, but overall the group just isn't as fun to watch as the others. Then you add all this crap with Sanjaya, and it just isn't as addiciting as it has been in the past.
