Have you ever made white lies to protect yourself? I did so many times, just so the subject gets diverted. hehehe

I have told a number of white lies to protect myself when i was younger. Today I do not think i tell any white lies consciously. I lead a very boring uneventful life and the need for any white lies have not arisen.

I think if you are going to tell lies you have to have a good memeory or you will never get way with it, that's why I find it easier to just tell the truth unless as I said it is a little thing and it spares a friends feelings, lol.

you're right, little white lies aren't that bad at all.I was once back into a corner and one little lie led to another. It was awful at that time, but now, when i look back, is laughable. That's how criminals work. They do anything to save their hides. hehehe

yeah. alot. if its a white lie and you need to protect yourself or the situation really needs it, why not. i think that is the game of life.

I think most people tell white lies on occasion. I don't think it's a good thing, but yes I have done it too. The problem is a lie is a lie no matter how "white" it is....lol Some people get carried away and what starts out to be not much can turn into a ball of fire... Best not to lie at all and be done with it.

I think everyone has! If it's protecting you or/and someone else then I don't see a problem with it! If it doesn't bother anyone or hurt anyone then who cares!!

Agree with the "everyone has" disagree with the "who cares"

That's what 'white' lies are used for....to change the subject or keep someone from getting hurt....at least that's what I was always told

Occasionally I would say. And I mean really occasionally. I don't like lying since lying usually backfires. Even white lies should be kept to a minimum. :P

I see white lie as a LIE and it is out of my principle, most of the time, being honest aggrevate situations and give me heart aches. I am a person who lays down my cards and deal with it...ideally i rather say the truth than lie for it is much easier. But yes, i do, most of the time to cover for my people...to cover myself. But this is always a situational basis. Most of the time i rather not talk...what others don't know wont hurt them...heheheeeehehehhe!

I would do that when it is necessary. By necessary I mean when it would save someone from getting into bigger trouble, provide that someone would make amends or promise to correct things up and when I by telling the truth would make things worse.
