Ebay Scammers

I have been hearing a lot about ebay scammers lately. Whether it be buying an item that never actually existed, or never getting an item, or not reading the fine print at the bottom of the page that says that you are only bidding on the box. I was wondering if anybody has been scammed on ebay or if there has been a close call? If so, you should tell your story as to keep us from makeing the same mistake.
