Are these a type of Cult?

I have heard some people refer to Mary Kay or Princess House or other companies such as these as a type of cult. It is not a real cult but do you think that they way they perform is similar to a cult? They have to get people together and semi-pressure them into buying something and selling the products. There is a lot of meetings and pressure and secrecy. It's different and I am curious on your views.
