Yeah, u r right.. They are way too overpriced.. There's not much difference in branded and non-branded nowdays in terms of quality, but their prices are immensely different.. Don't know what lets them command such a high price for their commodities...

I agree with you. I prefer buying branded stuff because I believe that branded companies do care about quality of their products and do not comprise in any case with quality. So branded products may be expensive, yet I feel assured that quality would be good. I try to buy branded stuff, whenever I can afford to do so.

I think most goods are too expensive. I spend quite a lot of time looking for cheaper alternatives and trying to get the best deal. For example the branded toilet roll I buy is £2 cheaper for 12 rolls than when it is on special offer in my local supermarket and is half the price of the supermarket next door's own brand. Its disgusting that they get away with this.

I generally do not go for branded goods because I think that they are overly priced. I just make an exception when it comes to electronics as I had bad experiences in the past after buying some no-brand-name products.

Absolutely overpriced. Most of the money you pay out is for the name. One of my favorite personal stories is I went to a fancy boutique one time to buy a dress for a big party with a lot of rich people attending. I am NOT rich but didn't want to be embarrassed. I looked at the prices and the cheapest nice looking dress I could find was a $400 Donna Karan! I walked out of the boutique, went to the nearest fabric store, found the exact same material that $400 dress was made of, found a pattern that was very similar, and with some creative cutting I made an almost exact copy of that dress. At the party, people were complimenting me on my Donna Karan and I just smiled and thanked them. Only a few friends knew that I sewed it myself for about $30. I had a lot of my not-so-rich friends borrow that dress!
