Universal Health Care...Good or bad? Why? Make your case.

I was talking to a buddy of mine about the idea of Universal Health Care. It's huge in politics right now. My buddy told me that Universal Health Care would be great because everyone could get covered when they go to the doctor. At the same time, I heard that you would be told what doctors you could go to, and what price the doctors could charge. We would all split the bill to go to the doctor. Does this sound like a good idea to you? Make your case.

My idea of universal health care is everyone being able to see the doctor of their choice and all medical procedures being covered by the state. No discrimination would be directd against those who are low income. People in this country pay taxes thru the nose. We take care of our country. Our country should take care of us.
