Why do some females think "dumb" is cute?

i'm with you! It really irritates the heck out of me.There are some guys that do go for that but a lot of guys seem to prefer someone they can have a decent conversation with. When I see these girls playing dumb,I want to smack the crap out of them.I have never played dumb or constantly wore high heels or anything else guys consider sexy.If a guy can't accept me for who I am,he can buzz off because I am always true to myself and am not changing for anyone.Not to mention the fact that guys like that aren't worth the aggrevation

Honestly I aggree with you 100% on this one! I think being able to have a discussion or carry on a good conversation is very important. I have never played dumb nor would I ever. To me I'd be insulting myself because I feel I am pretty smart and intelligent and for me thats something to be proud of.

I totally agree with you. Apparently some men still appreciate that dumb helpless woman,it must turn them on to be the hero. I can't understand it.

I know a lot of guys who look for girls with less intelligence than themselves. Not for the "cutesy dumb" thing, but beccause they like to be the dominant one. so being stupid is cute for them.. The guy I was with always told me he found the most attractive part of me was my intelligence, and I found that to be the same with him. If he can't carry on a conversation or hold a steady argument, I don't want to be with him, ever.

Acting cute is okay on certain situations, maybe once in a while it is fine, but acting dumb to be cute? Is that cute at all having people think you have a brain that a size of an ants'? I don't think so.. But yeah, if a lot of girls are acting like so, I agree that there might probably be guys who go after that.. well what can we do, let the birds with the same feather flock together.. if that's what makes them happy then let them be.

men likes dumb girl because of their ego. actually, he doesn't really like them but he wants someone who would follow whatever he says. not all men are like that but alot of them are. there are also some dumb men who let their brain froze when seeing cute dumb girls.

I am proud of my intelligence and education. I am a blonde and I am intelligent enough to know when to use my "dumb blond" act to my advantage. You would be surprised at how many people have underestimated me!!

I feel the same way about this subject as you do. I think women should be proud of their intelligence and achievements. I don't think any man who wants a woman that plays games like that is much smarter than the woman who's playing them.

I think this question can at best be answered by females only. If you talk about men, i can atleast say for myself that i dont consider Dumb women "cute". Infact being cute or beautiful has nothing to do with being dumb. I will probably like an intelligent women more than a dumb women with same looks.

I don't know, but I do think it is annoying.

Some men do like women who act dumb, and I think it is because they feel more in control, they can take charge, and be the man.

The reason, in my opinion, that women act that way, is to build up a man's ego. Most men still want to be the provider and the decision maker. It stems back to the genetics of the cave men. So, in essence, the women is not dumb, as she does get her way, but intelligent playing the game.

I LOVE the way you think, girl. I don't think it's just women who think this is cute. I think some women are dumb enough to actually think MEN think its cute so they do it to please them.

I don't do that but i see this thing going on around with my friends. They try to act as if they don't know anything, in short they are very insecure them self i hate that a lot. Guys think its cool for them and take advantage of it and i believe in the end she is the one who regrets. I think men looks for intelligence in a women, for those who are serious about relationship. And i want girls to be aware of it, who will want a dumb to rise kids for him?.

Thats irritated me as well. I guess dumb girls or "pretending to be dumb" is a way to attract guys who are... not into LONG TERM relationship or they are guys that wants nothing serious but plainly just FUN FUN FUN... "sorry for the term if that was offensive to other readers", i guess thats how many view the idea. However i've met good guys, cool guys, hot guys, intelligent guys who dont think DUMB is attractive... they even think that girls who do that must also think that the Guys are Stupid to fall for such... some guys play along because they know somehow what the girls agenda is in the first place... AM I RIGHT??? or AM I WRONG???

Personlly speaking I don't get it. I don't like stupid women or those that act so. Don't get me wrong my wife is kinda goofy, But it's a good thing because she is stll one of the most intelligent people that I have ever known. A vaitable fountain of useless information.
