You prefer to read a book? Or see the film? Or maybe read the book and see the film after?

I'm a non-stop reader. I will read the book THEN watch the film. With a book your imagination is endless...with a movie you can only imagine so much cause the picture is right before you. And I usually prefer the book over the movie.

My first preference will surely be movies, just because of the fact that i am a movie freak. But i know that reading a book gives you more details than the movie may give, after all it is the movie that is adapted from the book.

I prefer to read a book first. The reason being, if I were to read Harry Potter now, I would automatically be visualizing the characters from the movie. I like to visualize things in my head the way I see them. Get a feel for the characters, etc. Books are usually way more detailed than a movie. If a movie comes out from a book I really enjoyed, I may go to see it just to see if it does the book justice.

I figure you mean book-to-film adaptions right? I'll read the book and never see the adaption because to do so means would mean my comprehension and imagination is so poor, i needed to see someone else's interpretation on the silver screen.
