I ask this because I did about 10 years ago and I swear recently I am still getting the exact same pain from the attacks! I have had two this week. The last time I had one was last summer. Has this happend to you or do you happen to know why this would be happening?

Wow, my husband has the same problem. He has his out several years ago and he still complains about the pain is still there. It seems that he gets it every two weeks and still throw up like it was before he had it out. He sometimes wonder if they get it all out or is it supose to be this way. He is so tired of telling the doctors and seems that they don't listen. They did the laser surgry.

If it is only the stones that they removed not the gallbladder, there is a possibility that some more stones are left or you have again accumulated gallbladder stones through the years. It's been ten years right? You should be careful of what you eat because some food are suspect especially salty and fat-rich food in forming more nasty pain-killing stones.

If you had your gallbladder removed, then I suspect that the pain must come from another part of your organ? The painful attacks that you might be experiencing could also mean that you have kidney stones. I had kidney stones before and I swear it was the most horrible experience that I had. I did not go through the knife though, I resorted into herbal remedies and it worked.

thanks for your response. I like hearing from other people. I hope it's not a kidney stone. I will bring all these things up with my doctor.

I was 16 when I had mine removed. I remember the pain from the attacks like it was yesterday! They are so painful. I remember my doctor told me that my attacks wouldn't come back. I am now 24, so it's been a while and every once in a blue moon I do feel some kind of little attack, but it is a little different and this actually just started about a year ago, the new pain that is and it isn't that much when it does happen, but I still wonder at times what it could be. I think we both should go in because my friend said that it could be something else that may need to be removed. You never know. I would ask a doctor. It's weird that we go so many years with no attacks and then all a sudden we have new pain. So it very well could be something new and serious. I also heard of people having pain attacks like how I had with my galbladder and it ended up being their Appendix. GOod luck though.
