Count Your Pills

I believe that if you're taking more than eight pills per day,or more than three different prescriptions, your doctor may be over prescribing.Doctors prescribe too many drugs in part because they are overwhelmed by having to keep track of hundreds of patients. In many cases they rely on scant information gleaned from brief visits.Other difficulties results from patients seeing several doctors and failing to inform each what the others have recommended. A related problem occurs when patients take over-the-counter medications and dont tell their doctors about it.adverse interactions are possible between drugs. If you are being treated with two or more medicines, find out if there are drugs available that can treat more than one condition using only one prescription ingredient.

I think too much medicatin is being given out to people, I have an elderly neighbour who takes 17 different pills a day, I don't understan how a persons body can take this much, surely that many pills must be doing something that is not good.
