Okay, so after a month of searching for a new job I finally got a job that I really like. The manager pretty much is a sweet Japanese lady who understood how hard it can be to find a job sometimes. I'm now working at an apartment complex as a leasing agent. They hired me even though I don't have any experience in this field. But I do have experience in the computer field, so I'm building all the database, inputting information, etc. I LOVE this JOB! This is the first company that I've worked for that care about their staff. They give hours out freely as well as money. "Oh you need some more hours to make more money, sure" "Oh you need money for food, here you go pay us back whenever. You want money for food in the office, here buy what you need don't worry about paying us back." These people are so sweet okay! So yestarday I was in the office working alone. My boss had taken the day off because she wasn't feeling well. This resident came in to ask a question. Then she started going off about the people working in the complex not speaking English (which she was wrong about). She continued to make racist comments about Japanese people. I told her that I don't feel the way that she felt and that if she didn't like the company or the people that she could pack her bags and leave. Now I'm worried that if she breaks her lease she can say it was okay because I told her to pretty much get out. I haven't told my boss yet, she won't be back until Monday, I don't want to call her and upset her. Did I do the right thing? I rarely loose my temper, but she just mad me so made. This company is the only company that I've seen that cares about their staff. I've worked for all american companies before and pretty much got screwed up the a**. So I was little defensive of my boss and her company. sighs... I guess that's life...
