Do you consider ebay a job or is it a way to sell items to make extra money?

I have a problem. I am a powerseller on ebay and people do not consider it a job. Do you?
I get people wanting me to help them do this or that. When ever they need me the call like 10 hours before they want me to help them. They think I can just go help them because I sell on ebay and that is not a real job so the buyers can wait.
What these people don't realize is that I make more in 1 month on ebay during the summer than they do in 2 months of 40 work weeks & I have a business license as well as pay taxes.
The person in particular is narcissistic & thinks they are always right. But like I said I make more in one month than they do in 2. They are always saying negative things about ebay as well. Like the economy is bad. Well my sales tripled September through November. There are a lot of new cars on the road for a bad economy & someone not able to spend $3 on some seeds that will produce fruit you can eat.
I think it is jealousy because they are a janitor & I own & operate 2 businesses. But it upsets me when people don't respect what I have done on ebay. They think I just put the stuff there & people come and buy it. I built it just like those of you who are fortunate enough to have built down line incomes.
If you had a downline that paid $6,000 a month would it be considered a job?

i ask because I sell seeds on ebay and also buy them. I am always looking for new and unusual seeds.
Also, do you trade seeds?

Sorry to stray from the subject eveyone.
Sure we can trade if you like. If you don't have anything I want we can still trade & I will give them away as bonus seeds. I give a lot of seeds away. I have too many. I have friends giving me stuff that I do not sell all of the time. I didn't pay for them... no loss to me & the buyer gets extra seeds that isn't something dumb like chickory, turnips, raddishes or some weeds that you can find along a road. No offense if you give your buyers those items. They are just not complimentary items to what I sell.
Since we made contact outside of ebay I don't mind trading. You know how they have to get their final value fees. Not like paying them $700 to $1000 a month would be any consolation.
I have made threats to paypal I would no longer use their service as well as ebay for removing an auction of mine every week for 5 weeks then apologizing for removing it erroneously. I told them I was in touch with the government of Australia & AQIS they didn't know what to say. After I made threats to not use their service it didn't happen again. I think it was another seed seller turning me in for something that was legal to sell in Australia.

What does it matter what they think?.You have to be true to yourself and follow your bliss....You cannot please everyone...The only person you have to answer to is yourself...You said yourself this person you are speaking of is narcissistic,people like this have tunnel vision,they can only see things their way,they see down the tunnel and never look from side to side,and therefore they miss a lot..If you make good money on e-bay,then yes I would consider that a job..Anything that makes you money is a job...Don't worry about the jealous people of this world that do not have the talent to do what you do..There is only one thing i feel is neccessary to do as far as people go and that is,treat your fellow man as you would like to be treated and other than that,you don't worry about what everyone else thinks..Do not let some sick person that judges others determine your fate...Good luck

Thank you very much slick. I do try to treat others as I would like to be treated or I would be arguing all day. LOL.
I have never said anything to this person about it just to keep the peace. Although we did get into an argument about something that is genetically impossible but that is a different subject. I don't think a layman should argue something they don't know.
If I don't know squat about something I watch and listen. Not brag about how good I am. Can't learn that way.
