I've had Graves Disease since my late twenties along with thyroid disorder. It seems there isn't very much information about it, how to control the effects, etc. How do you cope with it? Are there ways to control the eye swelling, the vision alterations, weakness, etc?

Hi There I've had Graves Disease for 10 years now. I've had the radio active iodine treatment. Taking that though bumped my thyroid to an under active stats. So now I have symptoms of both under and over. I take synthroid and am such a high does that my doctor is always concerned. Sadly I need the high dose. I've suffered witht he weakness for years. My 3 year could beat me up...lol I was very lucky I never had any of the eye symptoms Good luck. Patience is the only way to deal with this thing.
