What you want to do is to take the vocals out of the music? Most of the software can only get a certain amount of the vocals out without distorting the music. You really have to play with it to get it the clearest that you can with any program that you use. Some of the programs work better than others, but the best one I have found so far is Adobe Audition. Like the others, it can't completely remove the vocals from most songs. It does a decent job compared to most of the others though. Also, if you are taking the vocals out so you can sing the songs for karaoke, you might be interested in Dart Karaoke Studio. You can use that to add your own graphics to the song once you have removed the graphics. It's a lot of work, but can sometimes be worth it.
