Has anyone seen or heard anything about "The World" off the coast of Dubai?

Dubai, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, a country in the Middle East for those who did not already know, has quickly emerged as possibly the number one growing money-making city in the world. I'm not sure how long ago they came out with the idea, though it most likely has been some time as it appears that about 90% of their properties have already been sold, but off the coast of Dubai there is a project currently going on called The World. The World consists of a large number of man-made islands, ranging in size, off of the coast of Dubai that when being looked at say from a high enough birdseye view looks like a flat picture of Earth and its continents out in the middle of the ocean. I think this is possibly the greatest idea ever. Right now, Dubai has some of the brighest young businessmen in the world and it shows. I can't even imagine how much money they are going to make off of this.
