Did you hand-make a card for Mothers' Day?

Or did you just buy a shop bought one? I made my mother a card, it was just a nice simply, pretty one, using a blue card, some white card and some pretty blue flowery card toppers. She appreciated that i'd taken the time to make her one and liked it. I don't think she liked my brothers card any less though just becuase he didn't make it, she appreciated both our cards. So did you make or buy your mothers' Mothers' Day card?

Sometimes I buy them and sometimes I make them, but I know that my mom appreciates them more when they are hand made. It's the same with gifts. Anyone can go to the store and pick out a gift or a card for their mother. It takes something more to make something from the heart. It is so much more special to her.

I always make my cards.. even for the kids birthdays. me and my husband have a total of 6 kids and even the youngest ones likes the cards. I think that it comes from the heart more the going to the store and picking up any card.

I always have great intention of making my cards but always seem to run out of time. I have made them for so many years now it takes me longer to decide on a design. Any design suggestions will be much appreciated. Forgot to mention, mother only likes red, cream and gold.

I always make my mother's day cards (even the ones for my mother-in-law). They are more special that way, and you can really say want you want to inside.

I was a naughty daughter this year and sent my Mum an e-card. To be fair, I had about 20p to my name, which isn't even enough for a stamp! Normally I try and take the time to at least pick out a non-generic card if I don't have the time or resources to make one myself. I think hand-made cards are always a lot nicer than shop-bought ones, as you can tell that someone has actually made an effort. x

No, I made my mom a "brag book" of her grandbabies so she can show to her friends. I sent her a card ( beautiful , I might add) that I got her at Walmart. She lives in Florida and I am in VA so I didn't get to see her. :(

i hand-made mine for her. i usually do for her, for b-days and mother's day, anniversary, all that. SHE'S the only one who really appreciates them, and never throws them out!! i just use some of my scrapbooking materials. it's fun to get creative, and say your own words. love how it all comes together, and she always loves them. she always says she can't believe how wonderful they look, how professional (when it kinda comes naturally to me). glad she appreciates them. i couldn't do that for my MIL though. or anyone else really. the materials can be expensive, so don't want to just give it to someone who will throw it away after i leave. i put a lot of work into them!
