Would an introduction page help us get referrals?

I was just thinking that it might be easier to get people to sign up to myLot if there was a page we could link to that listed the benefits of joining in a nice simple layout so that when people click on our referral link (on other sites, in our email signature etc.) they realise what the forum is about. Does anyone else think this would be useful?
