Cats or Dogs -- Which do you prefer for a domestic pet?

They sure do make great pets don't they? But which one do you prefer and why? Or do you have both? For me I own about 3 different cats up in the Philippines. I find cats to be sensible, quiet, cute and pretty clean. I used to own chihuahuas but due to their odors and them crapping or peeing in places around the house, usually people have to leave them outside most of the time. But cats can be left in the house and it's less stress for me.

Personally, I like dogs more than cats. I find dogs more reliable, friendly and predictable than cats. As a matter of fact, if it weren't for a dog that we had when I was about 2 years old, I wouldn't be alive today. Our dog saved me from drowning.

That is another true factor about dogs -- it depends which ones. I have had friends that have a dogs that were able to save a person's life. Even cancer patients in hospitals and even those that are blind have dogs that watch over them.

I have both. Cats and dogs have goods and bads in my eyes. I hate changing cat litter(so my hubby does it!!) but I love the fact that I dont have to let them outside. I like taking my dog for a walk but I hate the fact that I have to kennel him at night because he chews on things(he's still a puppy). What i do love the most is that they are very unique from each other. My cats are lazy and sel-reliant. My dog is needy but its a good needy because it balences out from me not getting any attention from my cats. I guess i would have to say that I cant really decide on what I like better.

I adore cats.
I like almost every pet but cats are my love:)
Cats are so cute, independent, sometimes crazy. So lovely, beautiful creatures.
I like dogs also, but not as much as cats. They are good for people who like to get up early to walk with their dogs. I can't imagine that I do that, lol. But I think they are lovely too.
