symbols

I personally don't believe in any symbol in particular, but I believe that they can be powerfull and meaningfull to people who attribute them some important significance. I would like to know: what about yourself? do symbol play a part in your life?

Many people wear a necklace with a cross or Star of David on it. Both, of course, are religious symbols.
I suspect the religious symbols are quite significant to the people who practice those religions.
