Has anyone used the shuttle service that picks you up at your home and drops you off? If so, what have your experiences been with it? I am using it next week for my trip to Texas. Was it worth the money or is it cheaper to park in one of those parking lots close to the airport?

We used a shuttle service last weekend when we were in Florida. We went to Florida for a family emergency, my father picked us up at the airport, however 2 days later when we needed to return to the airport my father wasn't able to take us. So we got a shuttle that picked us up at our hotel and took us to the airport which was about 1 1/4 hours away. They charged us $30 per person, so it was $60 for my husband and myself. We had an early morning flight and the shuttle was nice cause we got to doze off a little before getting to the airport.

I too will look forward to a little nap on the way to the airport and it does not cost too much. My dad usually takes me as well but my parents will be away. I do not feel comfortable leaving my car at the airport.

Shuttle services are fine to take. They make sure that they have comfortable buses in tip-top shape. They are really giving good services to their clients and assist them until they are comfortable.

I ended up riding in a minivan so it was a very comfortable ride and got to ride in the front seat both ways and had nice discussions with the drivers. It was a pleasant experience and would do it again if I needed to.

I have used a shuttle service and my experience with this type of transportation was excellent.. I know you will enjoy it.. It really saves you from tiring out and stressing with traffic.

It is nice to hear that everyone has had good experiences with the shuttle services. It will be nice not having to deal with the traffic and crazy drivers.

Oh, no I have never used a shuttle service that picked me up at home. I have used one that took me from the airport then took me to the hotel. Hmm, My best bet would be to call and ask, is it like a taxi ride, charge you per mile. I'm really not sure. Good luck though

My uncle who lives in jersey usually takes the service going to the airport. It's more convenient since he usually takes off at JFK and not at Newark. For me, I usually take free shuttles which are taken cared of by the hotel I'm staying in. So far, I haven't encountered any problems. :)

Nice to hear that you and your uncle have had no problems with the shuttle service. That is good that your hotel pays for your shuttle rides.

usually I just drive my wife there and pick her up when she returns here in Boston we can take the T to the airport, its fast and convenient too I often think I should drive people to and from the airport and run a shuttle service like that, to pick them up at home and drive them to the airport or wherever I wouldn't have to charge much either.

My dad usually takes me there or my mom takes me there but they will be away that same week in another state so I am taking the shuttle service instead of leaving my car in Philly. None of my friends will be around either since I will be leaving during a weekday.
