Music versus Lyrics

I'm not really a Hugh Grant-Drew Barrymore fan, but I really made a point of watching the movie MUSIC AND LYRICS even though I have no idea what the story is aside from the obvious fact that it will definitely be about songs. Well, I really fell inlove with the songs "Way Back In To Love" and "Don't Write Me Off". But what really stayed in my mind is the way Sophie Fisher (Drew) described the importance of both music and lyrics in a song. If I remember it correctly, she said something like this: MUSIC is like the physical appearance of a person, meaning, it's always the first thing taht attracts a person to listen to a song, the first thing that tells a listener, "hey, check me out!" or "hey, listen to me!". But just like getting to know another person better, the LYRICS is like the person's attributes that you get to like (or dislike) as you get to hear/know the song more.... Nice!

I agree! :) This is such a nice feel-good movie. Their tandem's really good. :) Anyway, I'm addicted to the OST of Music and Lyrics! I keep playing it over and over.
