I've watched both the movie and the book five times yet it has never failed to touch my heart still. I remember crying so well on this movie than I ever did while leaving my marriage behind! With the role I play in my life now, it pays to look and feel tougher. Some days, when I'm feeling really low and being tough is not enough, I watch this movie and have some crying game. It makes me feel human after. I highly recommend both the movie and the book.

Arrggghhh!!! I hate the ending just as much but I think regrets are there to haunt us for all the things we have missed in our lives brought about by the choices we have made. Oh well, we can't have our cake and eat it too!

The book works better for me although the movie was really star-studded; to name a few, they had Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. The plot was overwhelming due to its several twists and turns. Such story exudes a very interesting sense of real love and affection. I prefer the book because every page unhesitantly open your imagination and excitement, giving you the pulse to read page after page. The movie only shows the highlights of the book, of course. Still, I cant deny the movie also moved me. Yet the book, touched my being as a whole. magnificent work of art indeed.
