do you believe in wearing different stones for good-luck?

How many members on mylot are wearing either ruby, sapphire pearl or such other stuffs for their good-luck? Have you ever tried them. When you are too much in problem and all things go against you, you feel like trying them.Has anything happened to you like this?

I'm a Scorpio, born at the end of October, and evidently you can only wear opals if you are born in that month or it's bad luck, so I have 2 opal rings and set of earrings that I wear fairly frequently for luck.
