Anything and everything has its own benifits when used well and drawbacks when misused. The same holds for chatting as well. I don't believe in anonymous chatting and chatting with strangers. It can be disastrous. But I do chat with my relatives and friends, it is one of the cheapest and easiest way to communicate.
