I've been to several hockey games, but my favorite by far was a couple of weeks ago on my son's 9th birthday. My step-daughter had surprised him the day before by letting him spend the night with her. My wife and I had bought tickets a few days before, gave her 3 tickets, for her, her boyfriend and my son. They were going down to the area, not telling him what was going on, then would show up at the arena for the first of the suprises. We got there just as they were at the corner, so there went the second part of our surprise, we had brought his best friend too. We still had a great time, my wife and our best friend came too, so there were 7 of us, and they WON! Needless to say he had a nice birthday, he did however ask us if we got him any other presents...no, 7 hockey tickets was plenty! I guess next time, with a gift that big, we'll wrap the tickets up so he can open them and let him know about the game, we'll just let the friend be the surprise.

I love surprises like that. You'll like this one. I attend Clemson University and I've got a neighbor / friend that lives near atlanta. I called him up to see if he wanted to play tennis and he tells me that he's got two tickets to see the thrasher in the divisional playoffs GAME 2!!!! I almost passed out from hyperventilation. I've been a hockey fan for most of my life and it was a dream come true. We had great seats; four rows up from the rangers bench. I can honestly say that was the best weekend of my life. The thrasher lost because of a freak goal from Sean Avery, but Hedberg was playing unbelievably. Made 37 stops on the night. Just seeing Hossa, Kovy, Jagr and all the rest of the players was completely amazing. That game converted me into a thrashers fan, even tho i grew up watching the avalanche and i've recently gotten into some bruins hockey. go thrash!!!
