Hello people, I got into a conversation with my friend about lawyers. I told him that in most cartoons you'd find lawyers in hell in little devil costumes. Anyways he told me why this was so since i never knew why... after doing so he started to tell me how much justice was unfair. Lawyers go to hell because they defend criminals that were guilty but the expensive lawyer won and got him not guilty... I agreed with him... I said... If this is so. there is really no justice... What do you think!?

I don't think it's only that they get not guilty verdicts for criminals whether or not they really are guilty. A lot has really to do with lawsuits, whether legitimate lawsuits or frivilous ones. If the plaintiff wins the lawsuit, then the plaintiff is not really the winners. The actual winners are REALLY the lawyers who get paid their lawyer fees. That's probably the reason for lawyers being protrayed as little devils.

Justice is what we the people make it. A good lawyer can get a guilty person off, but that lawyer has help from 12 other people called a jury. There are situations where guilty people get off because it is a matter of degree of guilt....self defense for example. Should you go to jail for throwing a rock through a window by accident? If the justice system was set up more one on one basis and with the punishment fitting the crime then it would be different. The corruptability of the justice system concerns me as far as fair or unfair goes.
