Turning 30

I have always heard that turning 30 for a woman is a big change in her life. I just turned 29 and have mixed feelings about becoming 30. I remember when I was a teen, I couldn't wait to be 30. Now that it is getting closer I am not so sure. What kind of changes can I expect? Are they positive or negative? I am having a hard time imagining myself as a 30 year old woman.

I was the same coming up to my thirtieth - I made a point of talking about being in my twenties as often as I possibly could! You know that thing about age being just a no its true! The only thing I would say is that I had my first child at 24 and my 2nd at 32 and although I was a lot calmer 2nd time round I didn't have the same energy! Enjoy it - try ageing (a little bit) disgracefully honey xxx

Yeah, I know what you mean about having less energy for your second (or third or whatever). I had my first at 21 and my second at 27.

roflol I heard the same thing. My mom was always hung up on her age but to me, turning 30 was not much different then 29 & 28. Only the jokes changed. Of course, when I turned 40, I did have to pause a bit, things are just a little slower now. Luckily I had my daughter at 19 and have successfully gotten her out of the house & on her own now at 21 & still have the energy to appreciate and enjoy the 2nd honeymoon phase after almost 23 years of marriage. Next will be grandchildren in a few years or so. ~:o 40 hasn't been bad though. At least not so far, lol. I finally started getting the gray hairs my younger sisters had been sporting for years. With the right hair color though, I still get carded occasionally so, I guess I can't look too old yet. roflol Your health & history will determine whether you have problems to look forward to or not. I hear broken bones can ache years later when the weather gets bad. If you listen to music too loud & for too long, you can damage your hearing. Let's not even get into diet, lol, you get the point I'm sure. :)

Well, it all depends on where you are at with your life. My 25th birthday was HORRIBLE. I thought I was so old and I just didn't fit in with anyone! I couldn't hang out with the younger crowd and I couldn't hang out with the older crowd. I feel good being 30 (turned 30 in december) because I am comfortable where I am at. I am married with a child and I have a great family and a great support system.

I'm not 3? I am 25 for the 7th time soon to be 8th. I don't think I have changed to awful much. A lot busier now but that's about it. I still know how to have fun so maybe that's why

Turning thirty isn't so bad... think of the alternative. Or think of yourself as only 3 (decades). :o) As for grey hair, I've had a streak of white since I was 12 or so. (At least that's when I notice it.)
