I have one and I use it daily but I wonder if anyone ever hears my conversations. I hear they are easy to listen in on with scanners. What do you think? Are they secure?

No they aren't secure..I have all the proof in the world. One time I was talking on a crodless phone (local call) and all of a sudden we could hear 2 different woman talking about their upcoming ski trip. My friend and I were shouting into the phone but they couldn't hear us. We just hung up finally. A few years ago my hubby and I were out having a couple drinks....hubby used his cell phone to invite one of our friends out. The next day a coworker asked me how my night at the bar was? I was confused how she knew I was there...I hadn't seen her. Then she started quoteing my hubbys phone conversation. Turned out they were visiting friends that owned a scanner. I have since been at these peoples places and we have listened to their scanner...it's kind of creepy. Scanners can transmitt cellular phone calls, calls made from a corsless phone, police and ambulance dispatch. Now whenever I'm on the cordless or cell phone I don't say anything private.

I can't argue with that I watch what I say too. It is scary isn't it?
