last week my uncle give some dough to my father, he also give a xerox copy of some intructions for the dough. here is the instructions written on the paper: The holy bread of Padre Pio This bread is called Hemin. This is the bread of Padre Pio and it comes from the Vatican. It brings blessings to every family who eats it. On the 10th day, you must give it to the other good people. Remember: You cannot refuse the bread once it is given to you and you can only use wooden spoon. What to do: Once you receive the dough, put it in a large glass bowl. It must be covered with either wax paper or plastic wrap and put it on the table or counter at room temperature. Do not put in the refrigerator. On the first and second day: Do not touch the dough. It must adapt and absorb it's sorroundings and take in the atmosphere. This is what makes each batch so unique from family to family. On the third and fourth day: Mix the dough with a wooden spoon once per day. On the fifth and sixth day: Add to the dough 1 cup of milk, 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of sugar. Mix well with a wooden spoon. On the sixth and the ninth day: Mix the dough with a wooden spoon once per day. On the tenth day: Add to the dough 1 cup of milk, 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of sugar. Mix well with a wooden spoon. When mixed well, seperate the dough in four equal portions. You give away three of these portions to three different good people. You keep the fourth portion of the dough. You must add 1/2 cup sugar, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup oil and 2 tablespoons baking powder. Mix well with a wooden spoon. Grease a loaf pan. Bake in the oven at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Remember: You are only allowed to make this Hemin Bread once in your lifetime. --the end-- Have you ever received this in your family? How will you react if you will be given by one of your love one's? Any comment, suggestions and reactions will be highly appreciated. Thank you for reading.
