Why does Lost come on so late now?

Lost has to be my favorite television show and it was great when it came on at 9pm. I'm really not a big fan of the new time slot, 10pm is a tad late for me. Why has the show been bumped to a late slot? Does anyone know??

It's all about ratings. There's so much competition they need to find the best time slot without moving around too much. I personally feel they should have made a move to another night rather than to 10pm. It's too late to change now though. If they're going to survive they're going to have to do it on Wednesday night at 10pm. I'm not sure how many seasons are left but they better hope someone doesn't infringe on this time slot. ‹(°¿°)›

I agree with those who mentioned American Idol. I believe the same thing happened last seaon with LOST. The 10pm time slot if hard for me to stay awake for, but I try my best. I am actually enjoying this season quite a bit. I thought Desmond's episode was good, and I really like some of the things that have been happening in the last few episodes. There have been some really good reveals. Especially concerning Jack's father and Desmond's new visions. I believe tonight's episode is heavily focused on John Locke so that should be a pretty good one. Hopefully it will answer a few things....or at least give us more to talk about here tomorrow ;-)

Lost is probably later now because of the ratings and because of the content in it. The content in Lost has been getting a little more adult content. For example Kate and Sawyer when they were in the cage and Kate thought Sawyer was dying. Also, Lost needed to get better ratings on their show so they decided to move it to another time on Wednesday, is my belief.

yup it was because of American Idol... the changing of the timeslot really affected Lost's ratings.. it went down... Desmond's episode was the lowest so far for this season... that's when they started to change the timeslot

I believe it is because of ratings. This season of Lost has not been nearly as popular as the last two seasons. It is just getting alittle boring and it does not have the same suspense as the first 2 seasons. Hopefully, they can redeem themselves by the end of the season and come back for a 4th season and get better writing, storylines, etc.
