What do you do when you see an user replying with "Sorry, I don't know" or stuff like that? Do you rate them with a - or do you report them? Yesterday for example I was reading a quite interesting discussion about things to add in a newsletter for women. And as the 13th or 14th answer there's this guy saying "I don't know, sorry". Well if you didn't know what were you doing replying??? I really dislike that kind of answers. I rated the guy with a - (his reputation was 3/100 anyway do I don't think I did him much harm anyway) Do you think I should have reported him? Have you ever reported anyone for something like that? If so, do you know if anything happened to that user?

I don't rate people negatively when they give me an "I don't know" answer. I appreciate the fact of recieving any answer at all, especially if it isn't a stupid answer (the answer of morons I rate negatively). If my friends start a discussion I don't know anything on the topic I answer "I don't know", because I consider it my duty to answer my friends topics...

I can't say I agree with answering questions you have nothing you say about with "I don't know" just for the sake of asking. I believe that if you have nothig to say that wil improve the conversation you should go look for another one. But that's just me. :)

When i get responses like that i usually give the person a -. or if they make no sense and it has nothing to do with the discussion i posted i mark them negatively. I think they deserve it after they have made a nonsense reply to my interests.

I totally agree. But I was thinking maybe they should also be reported so that they'll stop messing the discussions with their nonsense answers.

No I never have but I hate that myself. I feel like asking them if you don't know then why did you reply. That seems like a wase of time to me.

I actually would rate someone with a negative rating. I don't like that. There are many times that I don't know the answer to a question or do not have enough knowledge to chime in on a certain topic... I just won't answer it. To answer something that you do not have an opinion about with an "i don't know" is a blatant attempt to improve their numbers and get more earnings. It doesn't even contribute to a discussion. I might have reported him. It might not happen the first time, but if I notice a trend then I will definitely report it.

I totally agree. This guy has sort of a habit of answering like that because I noticed him on other discussion too. :(

Well, I think you did the right thing because I would have done the same thing. Anyways, if you give it a - rating it will affect what the person is in mylot for :- mainly the earnings(otherwise he will be answering sensibly if he wants friends and fun only). If you don't know anything then don't answer. It is just like Newspaper questions: Q. Do you think India will win the world cup? A:Yes, B: No or C: can't say. SMS A or B or C followed by NEWS to 7575. Why would you waste your money to SMS when you don't know the answer, but there is a big %age like 1-2% that still will SMS can't say. You can't do anything about it.

The part about the SMS made me smile :) Wow. Some people really want to get their opinion noticed (even if they have no opinion LOL) :)
