Hi, everyone. you see I just finished my driving lesson in a driving school but I am afraid to drive my car alone. I manage to drive my car but with someone and i must say that I can drive pretty well but the thing is I am afraid to try drive my car in a higway. Do you have any ideas or tips? how about your first time driving your car alone, what did you do? I really want to try but I am also afraid! help!

The easiest thing to do is start out with a trip around your neighborhood. Nice and slow -- don't even bother with the speed limit until you're comfortable going that fast. If someone gets behind you and seems to be in a hurry, just pull over and let them pass you. Once that "grows" on you, and you're feeling confident enough, head out onto a side street or out-of-the-way spot where the speed limit is between 30 and 35, and get the hang of driving by yourself there. Eventually you'll find yourself getting bored with the speeds you're driving and you'll naturally gravitate towards a more "active" spot. That, and sometimes being "thrown to the wolves" helps too -- suppose you have to get somewhere by yourself in a hurry and nobody's around to help out by driving or riding with you. Just take your time with it, though; don't rush it and you'll do just fine.
