omg i think its the most precious gift you can leave behind of yourself..I have signed my donor card and my family know my wishes, anything and everything that can be used should be harvested ( I know some people find that word a little harsh)..to think of my heart extending someones life or even being used for scientific study for new treatments and medications..it gives me a real sense of being a part of the world and helping it go forward.
great topic

I am sorry, I disagree. I never want my body's organs taken from my body and I would never accept an organ donation myself. I do not believe in it.

Be sure to sign whatever documents you need to have this decision finalized. In some places its a drivers license or a health card, and in some places it's a special card. Make sure also that your family is aware of your decision. I am also a donor. I congratulate you and thank you for your decision. You should also be consider being a blood donor during your lifetime. I used to give blood but for my own health I am unable to do that now.
