Surfing the internet is fast becoming a hobby for a lot of people including me. What actually attracts a visitor to a website? Is it the graphics, the layout or just the contents? I am starting this discussion so that members who own websites can get feedback from mylot members and make improvements. To me a website must be tidy, easy to browse and well organsied. I will spend more time at the website if it is pleasing to the eye.

The first thing I look for in a website is the ease in navigating the site. If the site is confusing ,then I don't stick around for too long.I like it better if the layout is good and the colors used are easy on the eyes. The content is the most significant part of the website .I bookmark the site if the information is valuable and the webmaster keeps updating the site with new informations.

What do you mean "JUST" the contents? If you realize, people come to a website FOR contents. Designs play a big part too, yes. But the first, most important thing is its contents. If you find yourself on a very tidy, neatly designed website, but with NO real content that you originally looking for, would you ever come back?
