does getting involved networking business nowadays still works?

ive just been invited over some short seminar on another networking business..im a little afraid already about what happened during the past business venture in the past..will it still work today or that depends on what kind of product you are selling....any ideas?

IMO it does work if you are dedicated to it. It takes a lot of work, and it's often harder to set up this kind of business than a traditional offline business. It's not for me, but if you are into it there're plenty of money to make.
