I am a white female. Things on tv and life are really starting to get to me...why is racism ok, in any way? Why is it that african americans can say "cracker," "white boy", things like that, and it is ok? That is racism as well, why can they get away with it? I am so tired of everyone complaining about racism, but they dont see that caucasian people suffer from it too. The problem is is we have accepted it and let it be ok. But it is just as bad.

Wow, stacy you really have a way of starting these kinds of discussions. I agree 100% and it's something that bothers me. Black people (it's a color, get over it) cry equality yet they segregate themselves. 1. There are black only colleges. How would that go if it was the other way around? 2. there are black only scholarships. I know a story of a boy who went to fill out an application for an African American scholarship. They said he couldn't because he was white. Yet his parents were from South Africa. Doesn't that make him an african american? 3. South Carolina is the only state where the black masons segregate themselves. And it is their choice! 4. We can't call them black, but it's ok to call us white? Now, I'm not condeming a total society. I realize not everyone black person is like this. But i am generalizing the few and my observations.

Yes I have a knack for controversial discussions...=) They have a whole organization devoted to them. NAACP. One time my mother in law went to get assistance medically in our state of VA, because she had broken her neck at work and she was trying to get her Social Security Disability back and the lady actually said to her, sorry, you are the wrong color! Can you believe that?
