Walking Shoes??

I am due to buy a new pair of walking shoes- I get frustrated each time I go because most don't feel good and the pair I pick often causes a couple weeks of pain or discomfort before they are 'broken in'. And to top it off, I tripped in December while walking, hit my head, had a concussion and broke my nose. I really need recommendations for a GOOD if not GREAT pair of walking shoes!!! (I'm 6' tall and have larger feet for a woman. I also have a high arch, if that helps!) Thanks in advance, Kelly http://www.smellmysmell.com Enter to win my weekly FREE candle drawing!

I am sorry that i can not recommend a good pair of walking shoe sbut I can tell you that if you want to speed up breaking in a pair of shoes then stuff them with damp newspaper for a dew hours and then push a plastic coathanger down to the toes and move around the whole toe area to help streth them out a bit as this will unstiffen them. Good luck

I always have to break a new pair of shoes in, whether they were meant for serious walking or not..lol..I think it's just because they are new, and i havn't found a brand yet that doesn't cause that to some degree in the beginning..I know people with flat feet have a hard time, especially in shoes with a heel. An arch is good, but an especially high arch can be trouble too. If i had to choose a brand for walking, out of all the shoes i've ever worn, it would probably be Sketchers~
