kids dialing the emergancy service

My youngest son has just been found playing with phone and the number he dialed was 999 he is only two so the guy on the other end of the phone said ok just put the phone down and we will cancel the call. I have had my other son who is 6 phone 999 and the fire brigade turned up at the door just as well we live on an island and not in a town whare there is more call for the service I now have to put my phone high up I should really get a cordless phone so when I am not in the same room I have the phone . has any one els had this happen to them
