"What is bad when done by an adult is good in the eyes of a child." This is an ad from my childhood years. It has run for several years here in the Philippines. What made it an effective public advisory is its blantant truth. Simple yet true and current. A lot of parents will tell their kids not to smoke, curse, and lie among other things because its bad and unacceptable.But the sad part is that they do these themselves and rationalized that its okay since they're grown-ups. Whats even sadder is that kids who see their parents as the pillars of goodness and heroes to admire and emulate develops a wrong sense of what really good and whats not. Are you one of those who don't practice what they preach? Or you just made some relapses that you regretted sooner? What particular rule you've set and broke?
