My favorite is VB .Net. C# is ok too but requires a lot more typing to do the same amount of work as VB.Net especially if you are doing a lot of string manipulation. Because they both compile to CLR (Common Language Runtime) they are equally fast. C# seems to pay a bit higher in the job market though because it's in greater demand.
