First tip on training motivation.

Write down what you would like to achieve, say a set distance in running, then write down if you achieved this before, or anything similiar. Then write how you think you could go about achieving this objective, in as many small steps as you feel it will take. For Example; 1. See a doctor, get yourself checked out and get the approval from your Doctor, especially if you have health concerns. 2. Can you team up with a friend or two, consider joining a gym, etc. I train from home and I am a qualified Sports Coach. 3. For a mile run after christmas I just plod into it without pushing or aiming to break any personal record. (If I cant complete it no worry, I go back in a couple of days for another try) 4. I use a fitness circuit at home, building from a few repititions up to 15 minutes to 30 minutes, I usually do hundreds of reps over an hour or so depending on how I feel. (Again I build from what I can do and then push myself after a week or two to a higher level. 5. Same with the running, aim to plod then start pushing yourself to your limit, build it up slowly and consistently is the key. Reward yourself when you have hit your objective, either build another level or consider taking it up with like minded people (running clubs, gym, etc)
