Where would you go to purchase content?

Pretty much everyone knows today the big thing is “content” web sites around the world are looking for content to put on their web sites. Good content articles will contain keywords specific for the topic of that web site.
Over the last 3 months I have completed (and been paid for) 3 e-books on Internet marketing. I know several ways to market online using content and articles but I would like to know where other people’s heads are at.
So, lets say you want to purchase content for your site or other use (yes there are other ways to use content articles). Maybe you are looking for a great article to use to promote your myLot referral url.
Where would you go to look for this content or article?
Ok, if your answer is you would write it yourself then what would you do with it next? Where would you go to market or promote your content article?
No referral urls please, only home page of site if that’s where you would go.

Gee Faith. You've really lost me. I don't know what you mean. The only bit I understood was to promote my MYLot referral URL. There must be others like me. Is it too much to ask if you can explain with out the jargon? Or to tell us and ask us as if we are just finding out about these things?
Of course if I'm being ridiculous just ignore me....lol.

LOL - I could never ignore you dear and I am glad you ask because this is really my reason for posting this discussion. A sort of "survey" to get an idea of different knowledge levels. I think your position is "normal" or "average".
#1 - you have a myLot referral url, to make more money on myLot (or any money making program) you want to get referrals.
#2 - you write or hire someone to write (this is what I do for a living, write articles, e-books, e-courses, blog entries) an article/web page about myLot. It would be informative, interesting, entertaining - something people would be interested in reading.
#3 - you put your article out on the Internet in different ways, blogs, web sites, article directories, etc.
#4 - people around the world read your exciting article and sign up with myLot using your referral url.
I didn't expect a big response rate on this discussion but I must admit I thought I would get more than I have as I know there are a lot of writers on myLot who do write content articles... Content in the case of myLot would be forums, earn money, free, meeting people things that would attract people to myLot but might put into a search engine to look for something like myLot.

The one the comes to my mind first is Idea Marketers. I don't remember their website url right off hand but I have been to their website and you can post your articles there so others can read it or ask your permission to publish it in their ezine.

At one time they had a great concept - someone with a well written article such as the example of myLot an article explaining the good, bad, whatever about mylot, of course including your referral url within the article. Mainly people looking for content for ezines (newsletters) would pick up the article, include it in their ezine and the writer in turn could gain referrals. An ezine promoting earning from home, or home businesses might be interested in something like that. The problem is Idea Marketers does accept free articles but they've gotten so carried away with promoting their own affiliate programs that it's really hard to find the "articles" and so not a lot of chance of your article getting picked up.

Oh that is wonderful that you have been paid for 3 ebooks on internet marketing. Oh there have been many sites that I have been to over the years and received tips for this one that I can think of is logon have you heard of this one. I would go there also to promote mylot although I have not done it yet.

I've never heard of logon but will certainly check it out. I'm not particularly interested in promoting mylot just used that as an example I thought others here might relate to.

I have worked for a US based software company as its Internet marketing head for 1 year .. I have written content and articles for more than 30 of their websites and also helped market them online through various Internet Marketing techniques ..
There are a few companies in India who are doing an excellent work in this field as u need labor and loads of time to get a website marketed 24/7 on the web .. and its not like u optimize your site once and your job is done .. its a continuous process .. u have to keep adding and updating content on your website ..

I would be very interested in some of the "Internet Marketing techniques" that you use.
I did spend some time at the site you recommended and they have a very nice set-up. Personally I would be very leary of recommending "offshore" sourcing merely based on experience.
