what's the best way of referring people to mylot?

i'm currently new in mylot. what would be the best way to invite people to join? what are the tools you have used so far? where do you broadcast this good find? i really need some help and tips regarding this..
i'm thinking about adding a link in my blog.. or something like that.
please give me tips. what's the most effective way of spreading the word online?

I don't bother trying, I have asked friends but no-one I knows like doing this sort of thing and then if you get people who just can't say no to you they are not going to be active anyway so I just plod along on my own...
