Sinusitis, How to cure?

My friend has recently started complaining of a heaviness in his head and that he is unable to concentrate. He also has a lot of flem coming out.He also says that his lower cheek bone hurts a bit. I went with him to the doctor and the doc says that it is sinusitis and that he would have to do an operation. I thought that was a hasty decision as i know of a number of people with sinusitis who have recovered without any kind of operation. And besides his isn't even a serious case. What do you think he should do?

He needs to get another doctor's opinion. A lot of doctors see $$$ and are not honest these days. Also, if the flem is clear, that's fine. But if it is yellow or green, he may have an infection and need anti biotics. Steaming will open the passage to drain out more. Good luck.

Hm, he might need an op to fix the inside of his nose such as a rhino plasty or get his turbinates fixed... Did he get meds for his infection? I have had nose issues ever since i can remember and once had a sinus infection so bad that my lips were numb! (the gunk was pressing on a nerve)...maybe the dr is just being proactive so it wont happen again? But it might be worth it to get a second opinion!

Yeah i should ask him to get a couple more opinions from other doctors. I have heard of people who have undergone surgery and have fot it back again which is why i am very skeptical about surgery

From my own experiance, I can tell you.....Sinusitis has better cure in Homeopathy then Allopathy. Homeopathy cures it from the roots. Though it takes longer time, but if one takes the medicines regularly, it can get cured for life. I took medicines for a year or so, and it didnt recur again. Allopathy is tempotary cure or relief.
