have you ever lived with an alcoholic? my mum has and he was always forgetting where he left his cans used to drive her potty

Yes, my mother has us live with one of her drunk boyfriends when she was in process of divorcing my father. He was insane! He is the reason why I have a fear of water...claiming he could teach a 5 yr old to swim by tossing the child around for 2 hours in a Florida alligator and snake infested river!
Among the many other things he did because he was drunk...I will never live with a drunk again in my life!
